Heidi Doreau, DNP
Heidi Doreau, DNP, plays an important role at Emerson Health Primary Care Bedford. As an experienced nurse practitioner who has worked in a variety of clinical settings, she is capable of backing up the practice’s primary care physicians, is comfortable caring for medically complex cases and knows most of the practice’s patients. “The physicians are great colleagues, and we communicate well,” says Ms. Doreau. “Together, we take good care of people. It’s the culture here.”
She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in May 2020. “This brings me to the highest clinical level a nurse can achieve, where I can oversee quality improvement projects,” she explains. Ms. Doreau is certified in interpreting bone-density tests and plans to focus on that important clinical area for her thesis project. She is also certified by the Department of Transportation to perform exams required for construction workers, truck drivers, etc.
